In 2014, I started in crypto from a small office between sewing machines and boat sails. Together with my business partner Michiel, I scaled BOTS into a fintech platform for automated investing.
We raised over €20 million in funding, launched an app in 37 countries, grew to 150 employees and won the Young Business Award. We met with Prince Constantijn, appeared on Business Class and took the stage at the RAI.
But the most important lessons weren't learned on that stage. They came when we were one-and-a-half months away from bankruptcy, when I had to personally call every creditor, and when I had to reduce a team of 150 down to 15 people.
On January 3, 2023, in the middle of the deepest crisis, I jumped into ice-cold water. Not to escape, but to reset myself. I combine entrepreneurial resilience with meditation and mental strength.

The most important lesson? Every real breakthrough starts with facing the truth. And almost always, there's more possible than you think in that moment.
